Damini, Rajshree, Ruby, Alok and Saumya die by drowning in the Ganges

On June 16, five people including four girls drowned in the Ganga river while bathing in the Ganga on Ganga Dussehra. Of these, three girls including two cousin sisters drowned in Dinapur village of Polimukimpur police station. One girl drowned in Sankara Ganga Ghat and a young man drowned while bathing in the Ganga in Narora.
According to Bijauli correspondent Ruby (9) daughter of Satyapal, resident of Dinapur village, Damini (10) daughter of Mahendra and Rajshree (7) daughter of Deepak, resident of Mathura, went to take a bath at the unpaved ghat of the Ganga River outside the village at around noon. A boy from the same village was with them. While bathing in the Ganga River at around 2 o’clock in the afternoon, a girl started drowning. While trying to save her, all three went into the deep water and drowned. A boy grazing cattle nearby raised an alarm and Rajveer of the village rushed there, found all three and took them out of the water, but by then they had stopped breathing. Ruby and Damini were cousins, while Rajshree was their aunt’s daughter.
Atrauli dialogue 18 year old Alok Kumar son of Vijendra Singh, a resident of Usmanpur village, had gone to take bath in Ganga at Narora on Ganga Dussehra with some people of the village. While bathing there, he went into deep water and drowned. When his friends shouted, people called the divers. After a lot of effort, only the body of Alok could be brought out of the water.
Dadon area At around 10 am, 4 year old Saumya, daughter of Chob Singh, a resident of Sankara, drowned after going into deep water while bathing. Seeing her drowning, the family members immediately tried to pull her out, but her condition worsened due to water filling inside her body. The family was taking her to Chharra for treatment, but she died on the way.
